I worked the last couple days on a caricature for Marcus. He made a really awesome caricature of me a long while ago and I couldn't make something nice back... in the mean time I've made many caricatures and I think I've learned while working on other caricatures. I'm happy with the result, it think it's my best caricature till now..

Finished caricature of Jeff

I added some spots, re-shaped the nose.. changed all the hair: Eyebrows, beard and head-hair (instead of one massa I did hair by hair) I added colors to the mouth, I changed the colors in the neck. I added things and colors to the forhead and I changed both eyes... Now I think I'm finished with Jeff's caricature..

And the difference between the caricature of Jeff Stahl from yesterday and the one from today... Lot-of-change... if you ask me

Jeff Stahl

I've worked this whole evening and night on the caricature of Jeff Stahl.. Jeff is a amazing freaking awesome caricaturist but he's also a very great musician! He uploaded some reference pictures of him this evening so I started painting him. It was hard because the picture was very light and there was not so much shadow in his face, so it was very hard to hold the painting from looking flat. I had to make the picture lighter so that I could see some details and add some details in the caricature (little spots on his face and details in his eye etc.) Overall I'm quite happy with the outcome.. although I think it can look more 3D I just don't know how... so I'm going to look at the caricature tomorrow again and look if I can find some detailsI can

Hello everyone,

Mario Magnatti Mariom made a fantastic caricature of me and I had the feeling that I had to work very hard on this one. I'm a newbie when it comes to caricatures, I'm drawing caricatures for maybe 2 years now but I don't often draw because I don't have the time for it, so it's very hard for me to develop. I always find it difficult if someone makes a beautifull caricature of me because I can't give them what they give me... This caricature he gave me was so awesome that I had to work very long

on the caricature I gave him back.

First step of eight - I made a little gesture sketch, no idea if the lines in the middle of his face are in the good position but it's just for me to get an idea of his face..

Second step of eight - I drew his mouth,eyes, eyebrow,nose and glasses just to get an idea of the character, because I want to capture his appearance. He seems like a friendly man on all the pics so I wanted to capture that feeling, this sketch looks like nothing but it's just to get an idea for myself..
